There has been a lot of debate on whether it is good for
college students to work in their semester break or not. In my honest opinion,
I think it is beneficial to the college students because of many reasons.
The first one being we as college students need an income to
accommodate for our expensive lifestyle, especially since we are new to living
by ourselves and not relying directly on our parents.
Other than that, we can be more mature if we work. This is
because we are exposed to the working world and have a glimpse of what’s
waiting ahead of us when we’ve got a real job.
Next off, we can improve our social skills while working. We
can learn how to speak to people in a polite and formal manner especially if
it’s a job that is hospitality themed such as waiting tables or being a nurse.
Finally, it is much more profitable for the college student
to work part-time and get a little income rather than wasting time hanging
around at malls and being glued to social media.
